Sheet music is printed music, used to direct the playing of instruments, singing, or other forms of performance. Often sheet music is unbound.
This collections contains about 18 sheet music booklets, including religious music, "Song Hits from Brigadoon," and "Music of the Ethiopean Serenaders." Some items appear to have formerly been bound together. The most contemporary music in the collection is a series of parts for Sherwood Shaffer's "Songs of Theano," that was commissioned by the University to dedicate the Scales Fine Arts Center. "Songs of Theano" comes with parts for clarinet, percussion, piano and voice, piccolo and flute, and viola.
