This collection includes interview transcripts and other materials pertaining to meetings and the church's anniversary. Historical Note The St. Benedict's Oral Histories records capture the history of St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The project documents the history of St. Benedict's through oral histories conducted during the Spring 2015 semester by undergraduate and graduate students. These oral histories are housed electronically in Special Collections and Archives, Z. Smith Reynolds Library. The oral history project was conducted by Dr. Michele Gillespie, History professor, and Tanya Zanish-Belcher, Archivist and Director of Special Collections, with the assistance of students in the Honors History 391 course and graduate students from the Documentary Film Program.
