Historical Note Wake Forest University's Gamma Omnicron chapter of the Theta Chi fraternity was established in 1948 by Dr. Hubert M. Poteat. Theta Chi's motto is "An Assisting Hand", and seeks harmony within the brotherhood. The fraternity was a recognized organization at Wake Forest University until April 1, 2023, when it was suspended from campus. The fraternity is eligible to apply for recognition again in 2027.
