[Crosswise on p.3] Tuesday morning, Jan. 23rd. The weather has moderated very considerably. The mail leaves to day. I have kept this letter so that you might know that we are all well this morning. Sister Burrington and myself talk of going to Br. Wings[?] to stay if we can get a horse and sleigh. I feel in better spirits this morning than I did sabbath day. You must not think that I am unhappy for I feel most of the time very comfortable. Ann Eliza improves rapidly in walking. She has this moment given me a kiss for dear papa. Yours truly and entirely... S.M. Wait
