[Crosswise on p.2] My dear husband, as br A was entering this in the office this evening he found yours to me of yesterday I am too much out of health to travel at present. Were I to do so I should never be sure to be down with a fever, which I some fear as it is but I hope by prudence to avoid it. The things in our trunks can take no hurt and need no attention I may be able to ride in a few days but the stage for Washington will not leave this place after tomorrow morning untill Wednesday and will of course be too late in the week. I have written you everything upon which I thought you would like to consult me. The Lord bless and direct you. I hope to see you in one week. S M W
