have this evening been all alone and have amused myself in writing a letter.
 _______tarried with us last night  This morning having [sic] a favorable opportunity introduced a subject which on account of my presant [sic] situation was unplesant [sic] though not unexpected 	I gave a negative answer though with much diffidence
