if left to follow its corrupt inclination we should constantly depart from God and yield to evry [sic] temptation. We should constantly riot in every species of crime and nothing but the fear of an awful retribution would limit our wickedness  Such being the propensities of fallen man how humble watchful and devout ought those to be who have espoused the cause of Christ  How ought they to watch every rising temptation and shun evry [sic] appearance of evil How importunate ought they to be with God to be shielded with
