"Thou shalt have no other Gods before me" is the Sacred injunction of the most Mighty  Nothing is more rational than that finite creatures should worship that God who is infinite in knowledge by whom the worlds were made and from whom all creatures derive their existence and receive their support  All power both in Heaven and on earth is in his hands and he exercises his government with unlimited control "Let there be light" said God light intsant [sic] shone and from the orient burst the golden sun  His mercy and justice co?extend with his knowledge and in wisdom and righteousness he accomplishes his vast design  He requires of his creatures the homage of their hearts and has strictly prohibited their worshiping any other God beside on pain of eternal death  Yet men in the vain imaginations of their hearts are prone continualy [sic] to revolt from their maker and
