The contents of these records consist of deacons' minutes, 1911-1927; church minutes, 1911-1935; and other church records. Also included are minutes, 1893-1907, from a deacons record book belonging to Broad Street Baptist Church.
The contents of this acquisition were received on loan for microfilming and return to the First Baptist Church, Winston-Salem, N.C.
Brown Memorial Baptist Church was constituted as Broad Street Baptist Church in 1889. It became Brown Memorial in 1910 and merged with the First Baptist Church of Winston-Salem, N.C. in 1935. Brown Memorial Baptist Church held an association with the Pilot Mountain Baptist Association.
