Rocky River Baptist Church, located in Chatham County, North Carolina was organized in 1776. By 1790, the church was a member of the Sandy Creek Baptist Association.
Received on loan for microfilming and return to the church from Pastor Gene and Amy Booker, Siler City, North Carolina, December 2, 1988 and May 29, 1991.
Records consist of minutes of church conferences from June 11, 1825 to May 19, 1991 (several missing months); including male, female, and Black membership rolls; chronological and alphabetical membership rolls; records of church officers and pastors; and summaries of the church by years. Other church records include those records of the deacons, 1969-1974; financial records; committee reports; a history file; and the church newsletters.
