White Lake Baptist Church (Elizabethtown, N.C.).
Historical Note
The White Lake Baptist Church was organized in 1833 as Mount Pleasant Baptist Church by Elders James McDaniel and J. C. Gregg. In 1844 the church was re-organized by William Ayers and Haynes Lennon and its name changed to White Lake. In 1868 the Negro members were dismissed to New Hope (N). In 1882 other members were dismissed and formed Kate's Chapel. A Sunday School was organized on April 16, 1879.
