This church was organized Aug. 23, 1834. The presbytery consisted of Elder Dennis Lennon, pastor of Lennon's Cross Roads Baptist Church and Elder Elias Davis, who had been ordained by Cross Roads Church, October 14, 1832. Elder Elias Davis was chosen as the pastor, Joseph Wood as deacon, and James B. Singletary as clerk. There were thirty-three charter members, including five slaves.

Minutes of church conferences from Aug. 1834 to Apr. 1965, including membership rolls and financial records. Other church records included are association letters, church letters, deeds and maps, financial papers, and membership rolls, 1851-1964 [broken series].
