Source of Acquisition The contents of this acquisition were received on loan for microfilming and return to the church from Miss Margaret Sammon, Wilson Norwood, on September 12, 1975, and from Mrs. Mary Vance on July 25, 1991. Scope and Contents These records contain minutes of church conferences from August 3, 1872 to January 25, 1988 [broken series]; records of the Advisory Board, Building Committee, deacons, Ladies Aid Society, and Woman's Missionary Society as well as information on the missions at Stanleyville (1945), Konnoak Hills, and Immanuel Chapel (1962). The records of Broad Street, later Brown Memorial, Baptist Church, 1893-1907, are also included. In 1935, Brown Memorial merged with First Baptist.
