The Wake Forest University AAUP chapter was founded February 4, 1949. This collection contains records of the WFU chapter and includes minutes from chapter meetings, member lists, correspondence, as well as national and state materials. Historical Note

The American Association of University Professors (AAUP) was first founded at Johns Hopkins University in 1913. The AAUP works to develop standards and procedures specifically relating to faculty members at higher education institutions. The Wake Forest University chapter was founded on February 4, 1949.
