This collection documents the academic work and administration within the school. Materials in this collection include academic bulletins, student handbooks, course syllabuses, seminar notebooks, proposal drafts, and promotional materials. Historical Note Founded in 1999, the Wake Forest University School of Divinity is intentionally ecumenical and open to a variety of viewpoints. The School currently offers a Master of Divinity degree and several joint degrees in law, bioethics, counseling, education, and sustainability, as well as a dual degree pathway in business. These joint degrees are offered in partnership with other schools of the University. The School also offers optional concentrated studies within the Master of Divinity degree, including religious leadership in food, health, and ecology, and a graduate certificate in sustainability. Graduates of the School of Divinity serve in various religious leadership positions and in other fields, such as congregational ministry, chaplaincy, non-profit work, education, and counseling. A number of students have continued in higher education, earning a PhD or a second Masters. The faculty and staff encourage a culture of learning that nurtures critical inquiry, theological reflection, and the integration of theory with an active impact.
