This collection consists of a single reel of microfilm containing three minute books for Turrentine Baptist Church of Mocksville, North Carolina for the years from 1913 to 1963. The first book covers 1913-1933; the second covers 1933-1960; and the third covers 1959-1963. Each book provides a record of the minutes for the church's meetings as well as the names of its members. Books 1 and 2 also provide information about the church's history, officers, and budget. Association letters from the 1920's may also be found in Book 1.
Turrentine Baptist Church was first organized on November 1, 1913 by Reverend Judson L. Vipperman of Spencer, North Carolina, Reverend J. Adam Grubb of Salisbury, North Carolina, and Reverend Henderson of Spencer, North Carolina. It moved into a building of its own circa 1915.
