Ephesus Baptist Church was constituted Sept. 26, 1886. This church has been a member of the Sandy Creek (1886-1949) and South Sandy Creek, now Sandhills (1949-present) Baptist associations.

Reel 1 filmed by the N.C. Dept. of Archives and History, Raleigh, N.C., Feb. 18, 1966, and purchased from them Mar. 23, 1973 @ $7.00. Reels 2-3, Files 5-10 were loaned to the N.C. Baptist Historical Collection, Apr. 8, 1993, for microfilming and return to the church by Mrs. Bernice Brigg. File 11 was received by mail June 30, 1997. It was loaned for microfilming and return to the church by Mrs. Pat Banks, June 26, 1997.
