Friday Apl. 27 Visited this morning a few of the members of the Bap. Chh. – afflicted with a cold – Rec’d a letter from Mrs. W. – postage 25 cents – was much rejoiced to hear from my family and friends. It was on this day in the month that my dear Sister A. died. I hope the Lord will be merciful to the remaining members of the family and prepare us all to follow her. Sat. Apl. 28 Took medicine this morning – much better in the afternoon – Called about 4 P.M. on the Rev. Mr. Munsell a Pres, - Mr. M. is chiefly employed in teaching – had with him and Mrs. M. a very pleasant interview. Sab. Apl. 29 Preached twice – Some liberty, but much reason to lament my coldness in the cause of God. – In the eve. heard Mr. Crowder a Methodist Minister – Assembly considerably large. Mon. Apl. 30 Called on Mr. Manly – not in his office – visited some friends – Commenced a letter to Mrs. W. to be finished tomorrow.
