	Nothing more could be done to day than simply to adopt such measures as would be most likely to insure a profitable sale of the horse.  Eve. spent at the house of Mr. Heriot’s.

	Sold our horse, waggon and harness at auction Nett proceeds 114 dollars. - - a fair prospect now of sailing from this port of Newbern N.C. on Tues. next.

Sab. April 1
	Attended worship in the Bap. church – preached in the afternoon. – high wind all day, and quite cold.

Mon. Apl. 2
	Rainy day – dined with Dea, Adams. Br. Manly gave me for my personal use, thirty dollars, being the donation of a few friends, to assist in defraying traveling expenses on my return.  Good is the Lord, giving health, and friends, and, above all, a hope of eternal life. Laus Des.
