- description
- Gabriel Cabán Cubero (they/them) was raised in Winston-Salem, NC, and attended Wake Forest University from 2013 to 2017. During their Junior and Senior years at Wake Forest, they held a work-study position within the LGBTQ Center, a natural evolution of their desire to spend more time within the center. They currently reside in Birmingham, Alabama doing organizing work and causing “good trouble.” This interview focuses on their time at the LGBTQ Center, their relationships with the people within the center, and their overall college experience on and off the Wake Forest Campus. Some notable topics surround specific events and protests organized either within the LGBTQ center or with the help of the relationships formed within the space.
