- Don Kobos is a 1970 graduate of Wake Forest University, majoring in history. He returned to Wake to complete his Masters in Speech Communications in 1974. Originally from Massachusetts, Kobos was impressed by the Southern hospitality that he experienced at Wake Forest. Kobos came to Wake Forest to play football and candidly discusses the life of a student athlete. He recalls balancing the intense practice schedule and rigorous academics by taking summer classes whenever possible. After completing his Masters, Kobos took at job in at a High Point newsroom.. Sine then, Kobos has worked in the news media industry and enjoys mentoring students interested in journalism.
