- J. Reid Morgan is Wake Forest University's Senior Vice President and General Counsel. He received his bachelor's and law degree from Wake Forest University and has worked with three Wake Forest presidents - James R. Scales, Thomas K. Hearn Jr. and Nathan O. Hatch. In this interview, Morgan talks about the transition from President James Scales to Tom Hearn, the difference in their accomplishments, their relationships with the city of Winston Salem, faculty, the medical school, and athletics. He discusses the president's role in the Baptist State Convention, the gift of the RJR Nabisco building, and campus expansion of the Benson Center, Worrell building, and dormitories. Morgan also discusses the matter of a same sex marriage at Wake Forest University.
