- abstract
- This project addresses the idea of influence and the importance of style in the work of David Foster Wallace and Ralph Waldo Emerson, as well as the idiosyncrasies of a common feature of books, the epigraph. The work deals with these ideas obliquely, through a set of poetic circumstances. It is a creative attempt to explore, evoke, and otherwise illuminate some of the notions that animate the study of literature as it is interfused with certain events in my own life.
