abstract
In this thesis, we work on generalized homology theory and go over the proof of Poincare Duality in the first part. In the second part we work over the basic ideas of Lie algebras and algebraic geometry. In the third part, we worked through Tate's algorithm, Washington Taylor's method, and other methods in deriving the Hodge number of Calabi-Yau threefold, and we discuss our own approaches with the help of computer algebra system code written by Peter Merkx.
