- description
- Drew Droege is a 1999 graduate of Wake Forest University where he majored in Theater. He is originally from Lincolnton, North Carolina and at the time of this interview lived in Los Angeles, California. During his time at Wake Forest, Droege describes feeling mostly accepted in terms of his sexuality but never really branching outside of the campus community to Winston-Salem at large. At the same time, he felt more free about his identity after graduating and moving to Kentucky where he particpated in summer stock theater and subsequently moved to LA. The most influential part of his career at Wake was help from Dr. Cynthia Gendrich in the Theatre Department who served as a mentor both in and out of the classroom.
