Z. Smith Reynolds Library. Library Committees Records

Finding Aid & Inventory

Z. Smith Reynolds Library is home to a number of staff and faculty committees. This collection includes materials such as newsletters and bylaws pertaining to those committees dated 1991-2016.

Biographical and Historical Note

WFU Z. Smith Reynolds Library committees are an important part of governance at the library. The entire staff meets monthly, and teams and other committees meet regularly. In addition, advisory committees of University faculty and students meet with the Dean of the library to facilitate communication and advise on policies and procedures. The Dean also establishes an array of standing committees, as well as ad hoc committees and task forces when needed. Committees include Assessment, Communication, Diversity and Inclusion, Safety and Security, Staff Development, and Wake the Library. The library also has an Employee Association and a Librarians' Assembly that have committees; those materials are in their own record group collections.
