3 to 4 Ounces is a student-run literary magazine that publishes a variety of visual and literary artistic forms including art, poetry and prose. Issues,typically published once a semester, in print and/or digital format, are distributed on campus free of charge. This collection includes Spring publication issues from 2000 and 2001 and student artwork slides.

Biographical and Historical Note

3 to 4 Ounces is a student-run literary magazine that publishes a variety of visual and literary artistic forms including art, poetry and prose. Issues, typically published once a semester, in print and/or digital format, are distributed on campus free of charge.  The Wake Forest Student, founded in 1883, is the original name. The publication was renamed  The Student around 1930 and again, then  3 to 4 Ounces in 1995. The publication was briefly banned from 1962 to 1964 by President Harold Tribble after the magazine published parody issue, "WF to Forsake Sin!" in conjunction with a Billy Graham 1962 visit.
