Dr. Corey Walker is the Dean of the Wake Forest University School of Divinity, a Professor of the Humanities, and Inaugural Director of the Program in African American Studies. He joined Wake Forest in 2020. As Inaugural Director of the Program in African American Studies, this interview serves as a critical piece in understanding the development of the academic program. He discusses in detail Wake Forest's goals in establishing the program and the hopes he has for the future of it. Dr. Walker also sheds light on his personal background and investment in promoting the program's success.
