Caption provided reads: "KB in Tunnel. The month was September 2003, and we had entered the Parkway at US276 (Wagon Road Gap). The conditions were foggy and I had for some time had the idea of photographing KB in the entrance to the Frying Pan Tunnel near Mt. Pisgah. There was very little traffic because of the conditions. I was shooting film (unknown type) on my Pentax camera (unknown model). This would have been one of my first film photographs, which was subsequently scanned on a high-end Nikon scanner available at the time (a purchase). I would have completed the Piezography course at Cone Editions Press in Vermont, and this would have been one of my first images printed with this system of black inks. However, the photograph in the collection is recently but printed with the same system of inks." Caption sourced from metadata embedded by Medford in 2024.
