Caption provided reads: "Richland Balsam Car. This photograph, taken in the spring of 2006, is probably a digital image taken with the new Nikon D100. The original RAW file is missing. The location is the Richland Balsam Overlook, the highest point on the Blue Ridge Parkway motor road. The occasion is my effort to document all the various activities visitors used to interact with the park. The automobile is the most common form of transportation, with others being the bicycle and motorcycle. This image is larger than the paper but is printed full size to fit the paper. I eventually began printing all of my images 9.375 inches x 7.375 inches to fit the matt size I eventually universally adopted to frame all of my photographs. The printer would have been an Epson, and I was using Epson cartridges. Much later in my practice, I used refillable cartridges both for Piezography and color printing."
