A second Forsyth County tuberculosis hospital opened in 1930 to relieve the first one located off Liberty Street. The second TB hospital was located off of Sturmer Park Circle. It had 148 adult beds and 24 children’s beds. The hospital closed in 1955 and the facility later became Knollwood Hall as pictured here. Knollwood Hall was a retirement home. |
