Phillips was an alumnus of Wake Forest College (Class of 1875) and a lawyer in Dalton, North Carolina.This is a microfilm copy of his papers housed in the North Carolina State Archives, Raleigh, North Carolina. They consist of Nick Dalton's papers as executor of Isaac Dalton, land indentures and grants, correspondence to Mallissa Rives Dalton from her father and Mary Headen, and other items. en_US
