Baity, Motsinger family members and guardians, and Reynolda, Incorporated, and a receipt for the contract and other materials, February 16, 1937, concerning the acquisition of land that later became a part of Wake Forest University's Reynolda campus.

Biographical and Historical Note
Arthur C. Motsinger sold 112 acres and J.F. Baity sold 88 acres to Reynolda, Incorporated, in 1938. Arthur Motsinger was married to Laura Schultz Motsinger and together they had four children: Irene Motsinger Cranfill,William, Clarence, and A.C. Motsinger, Jr. An interview with A.C., Jr., is in the November 5, 1976, issue of the Old Gold and Black.
Collection Overview
This collection consists of two items. The first is a copy of a contract, dated November 21, 1936, executed by and between J.F. Baity, Arthur C. Motsinger, wife Laura Motsinger, S. Motsinger, L.C. McKaughan, the guardian of Raymond Motsinger, and Reynolda, Incorporated. Another item is a receipt from Wachovia Bank and Trust for the contract and other items, received on February 16, 1937, concerning the acquisition by Reynolda, Incorporated, of land that later became a part of Wake Forest University's Reynolda campus.
