Arthur Raymond Gallimore (1885-1955) and his wife Gladys S. Gallimore (1886- ) served as foreign missionaries in China on behalf of the Southern Baptist Convention from June 6, 1918, until 1947. Gallimore was an alumnus of Wake Forest College and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. This collection consists of biographical information, Gallimore's writings, autographs of Kentucky Baptist leaders, Wake Forest College and expansion clippings, a Wake Forest College scrapbook album, and postcard-sized photographs of the campus and its students.

Biographical and Historical Note

Arthur Raymond Gallimore (1885-1955) and his wife Gladys S. (1886-) were appointed and served as foreign missionaries of the Southern Baptist Convention in China from June 6, 1918 until their retirement in 1947. Reverend Gallimore was an alumnus of Wake Forest College (BA 1909; MA 1910) and received a Master of Theology from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (1915).

Collection Overview

This collection contains biographical information, Gallimore's writings, autographs of Kentucky Baptist leaders, clippings "of interest to Wake Foresters" and the proposed removal to Winston-Salem, a Wake Forest College scrapbook album, and 68 postcards and photographs of the campus and its students, dated approximately 1906-1910.
