Judson College was established in 1858 by the Western Baptist Convention of North Carolina as a girls' school. The college building was later sold to the town of Hendersonville, North Carolina and used for a public grade school.

The collection consists of a trustee's minute book dated 1858-1892, a college catalogue for 1889-1890, and photocopies and clippings.
