dc.description.abstract | Katie Murray was a native of Rose Hill, Duplin county, North Carolina. She was a graduate of Meredith College, Raleigh, North Carolina, and the Woman's Missionary Training School, Louisville, Kentucky. She served as a Southern Baptist missionary in China and Taiwan from 1922 until her retirement in 1962.Her papers consist of biographical/genealogical information; correspondence with the Southern Baptist Convention Foreign Mission Board, family and friends; diaries for 1944 and 1950; education files; financial documents; loose photographs; photograph albums; literary producations of others; her articles and reports; 35mm slides; notes; Chinese and Indian clothing and artifacts; and her subject and reference files. | en_US |
