Greene was an alumnus of Wake Forest College (Class of 1870), educator, and Southern Baptist missionary to China from 1891 to 1911.His papers consist of his correspondence from Canton, China, and Bluemont, North Carolina, 1893 to 1911, and a letter to Mrs. Greene, 1912; a photograph of G.W. Green, and a framed portrait; family history notes, a biography of Greene, and a genealogical lineage chart; and a polemical pamphlet (1893). en_US
