Joseph Hendron Gorrell Papers

J. H. Gorrell was professor of modern languages at Wake Forest College from 1894 to 1934. From April 1916 until his death in 1942, he was secretary-treasurer of loan funds for needy students.

These papers consist of his bank accounts for the Masonic Loan Fund, 1935-42; the Denmark Loan Fund, 1938-42; and a pamphlet by Gorrell entitled "The Student Loan Funds of Wake Forest College," undated.
