Biographical and Historical Note
The Rigel Society was an all-women social organization at Wake Forest University, active 1975 to 1980. The group hosted parties to recruit new members, engaged with fraternities, and hosted fundraisers. They were one of six female societies at the time, and the groups met as an Inter-Society Council to alleviate issues and plan together.
