This collection of postcards consists primarily of photographic postcards of theatre actors. Dated circa 1900-1910, the 99 postcards are autographed and many are addressed to "G. Sykes."

Collection Overview

The G. Sykes Postcards are a collection of theatre actor images, mostly from Great Britain, dating from circa 1900-1910. Primarily photographic postcards, each is autographed by the person depicted. Pictured performers include Marie Studholme, Gertie Gitana, Sir John Martin-Harvey, and H.B. (Henry Broadribb) Irving. Many of the postcards in this collection are addressed to G. Sykes, The Croft, Hampton-in-Arden, Birmingham. Other items in the collection are inscribed to Edith.

Postcards are arranged alphabetically by name printed or signed on the postcard.
