The parts are contained in a staff paper folder marked 1-A- in black crayon/pencil accompanied by a "Gertrude Hoffmann New York City" stamp and the title, St. Denis in black ink. There is another score, most likely incomplete, in pencil followed by instrumental parts in ink. 1st violin through cello are titled "Cobra." The flute and piccolo part, in a different copysit's hand, is titled Ruth St. Denis and is orchestrated by E. W. Eyre. The rest of the parts are titled Cobra except for the drums part and do not mention E. W. Eyre. The part shave pencil revisions and notes and a few have markings in blue pencil. The piano part is title in blue pencil and has a list of pieces written in Max Hoffmann's handwriting. Research in Worldcat shows that E. W. Eyre was a composer and arranger. His credits range from the late nineteenth to the early twentieth century. [notes]
