- description
- Bb Major [key]
- piano [instrumentation]
- voice [instrumentation]This folder contains four versions of this piece. the first is a fair copy on thin paper that has been taped to stronger staff paper. This copy acknowledges Bill Tabbert as the lyricist. A negative of the vocal line and lyrics is also included but in different handwriting than the fair copy. A rough draft of the fair copy, handwritten in pencil with notes and markings in red colored pencil, also claims Max Hoffmann as the composer and Tabbert as the lyricist. The last part in the folder is titled "The Aviator's Song (I'll Tell the world I love you)" and under the title is the inscription "Words and music by Max Hoffmann." The part is only the vocal line without the piano accompaniment. It includes a scratched out draft of the opening piano score. The last copy in the folder is labeled "Lead Sheet" and once again lists Max Hoffmann [composer] and Bill Tabbert [lyricist]. [notes]
