Biographical and Historical Note

Pleasant Hill Baptist Church was organized July 3, 1842 by a presbytery from Harmony Grove Baptist Church. Pleasant Hill was admitted to the Green River Baptist Association in 1852. J. M. Webb was the "supply" pastor of the church. E. L. Taylor and R. Baker were the delegates. The church reported 20 members and .90¢ in contributions.
