Biographical and Historical Note
Bonlee Baptist Church was organized on July 25, 1912 in the lower story of the Junior Building, Bonlee, N.C. by members assembled for that purpose. Articles of faith, a constitution, and by-laws were read by Reverend G.W. Harmon and adopted. The Reverend K.C. Horner was elected as their first pastor. There were 32 charter members. They joined the Sandy Creek Baptist Association in October. At that time they had 25 male members and 18 female members for a total of 43.
