Biographical and Historical Note
On Sunday, October 11, 1925 at three o'clock, brethren from Wadesboro First, Lilesville First, and Mount Beulah Baptist Churches met with the Baptist people of Wade Mill for the purpose of organizing a Baptist church at the new church and school building in the village. After a sermon by Rev. C.L. Jackson, the church organized with twenty presenting letters of membership from other churches and six came under watchcare until their letters could be received. The Reverend Guy Walker of Lilesville was elected as their first pastor. The church had 25 members in their first statistics reported to the Pee Dee association in 1925.
