Biographical and Historical Note
Cathey's Creek Baptist Church, located in Transylvania County, N.C. was first constituted in 1802. On Apr. 13, 1813, the church became an arm of French Broad Baptist Church. During July 1822, the church was constituted again. This church has been a member of Saluda, S.C. (1802-09), French Broad (1822-30), Twelve Mile (1831-39), Salem (1840-63), and Transylvania (1864-present) Baptist associations.
