Biographical and Historical Note

Church constituted on August 18, 1810. Known as Wake Liberty, it became Mount Vernon in 1847. Mount Vernon Baptist Church is located in Wake County, North Carolina, and it is a part of the Raleigh Baptist Association.

Collection Overview

Records consist of minutes of church conferences from January 1840 to November 1859, and from November 1869 to November 1870; a declaration of faith; a copy of the 1833 membership roll from the "original book"; and the treasurer's accounts. Pages are missing at the front and near the end of this volume.
