- Jenny Puckett received her B.A. (1971, cum laude) in Spanish from Wake Forest University, and her M.A. (1973) in Spanish from Middlebury College. She served as a teacher of Spanish (1976-1987) in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools in Winston-Salem, including Advanced Plancement and the Gifted and Talented Program. She was an Instructor of Spanish (1989-1993) at Salem College, and joined Wake Forest University as a Lecturer (1995-2013). During her time at Wake Forest and after retirement (2014), she is active as a Member (2006-present) of the Advisory Committee for the Traditions Council, received the Excellence in Teaching Award (2006), the Sorority Faculty Advisor of the Year (2007) and was a Recipient of the Medallion of Merit (2016). She continues to participate in Wake Will Campaign events speaking about the history of Wake Forest. She has also authored two works on Wake Forest history, including Fit for Battle: The Story of Wake Forest�۪s Harold W. Tribble (Bloomington, Indiana, 2011) and tentatively titled Constant and True: A Wake Forest Album (forthcoming). This oral history interview includes Ms. Puckett�۪s memories of her student days at Wake Forest, her favorite teachers and mentors, and changes in the student body over the years. She also speaks about the importance of Wake Forest history and the Wake Will Campaign, and shares stories about Dr. Tribble, Dr. Scales, and Dr. Wilson.
