These documents include church meeting minutes (1861-1873) when its name was Hamer Creek Baptist Church; minutes (1875-1882) when its name was changed to Mount Gilead Baptist Church after reorganization, articles of faith, rules of decorum, and male, female, and African American membership rolls (1865,1875) with occasional notes of dates of dismission, admission, baptism, etc. It is handwritten in a bound item which has loose binding and leaves. Covers are missing.
