This volume contains organization of the church (1814), articles of faith (1814), church meeting minutes (1815-1869), 1814, 1821, 1858, 1865 and undated membership rolls of males, female, and African Americans with notes of dates of dismission, decease, marriage, etc. (1815-1869), and church statistics (1814-1868). It is a rebound book titled "Minutes of Mt Pisgah Baptist Church, Chatham County, North Carolina, 1815-1870", made in Durham, North Carolina, 1969. Remarks on the back: "This special binding was commissioned in memory of Henderson Marion Lewter & Isham Sims Upchurch...& Belle Lewter West..." The original portion of the book is handwritten and has stains on the yellowed paper, which has remarks in the front: "Church book for the church at Yates' meeting house".
